What is a zine?
A zine or fanzine is a collection of fan works by a collaboration of creators, usually in the form of a booklet. This particular fanzine will focus on the Stardust Crusaders OVA series.Will the zine be SFW?
This zine will be SFW and General, meaning no romantic ships, platonic ships only. Mild canon violence will be allowed.Will the zine be for-profit?
Yes, although please note that this is not a guarantee to receive profits - this is dependent upon profits made after production and shipping costs, which will be split between moderators and contributors.What is the theme of the zine?
Canon OVA + extra in-betweens (e.g. pit stops, campfires, pranks, road trips, sightseeing, food etc). We would love to see extra content of the OVA gang during their journey. This also includes any extra scenes for the villains too ;DWhat content will the zine have?
Page illustrations, spreads, comics, fanfiction (2k words max), prints, stickers. All characters welcome - Crusaders, villains and other side characters!Is there a particular art style you are looking for?
You can draw the OVA characters in your own style!How will contributors be compensated?
We aim to give contributors a free PDF copy of the zine. Only if profits allow would we consider being able to send a copy of the physical zine, with merch, and/or free shipping. Any leftover profits remaining after production and shipping will be split between moderators and contributors. What are the zine specs? (Size, physical/digital)
The zine will be physical: 6 x 9 inch, portrait.
Digital PDF version will also be available for purchase.Will there be merchandise?
Yes, so far we're looking at prints, polaroids and stickers. We envision this project to be a small and niche one, so we feel it's best to keep things simple and cheap.How many contributors will be accepted?
We are looking for 15-20 Page Artists, 3-5 Writers and 3-5 Merch Artists. Artists may double up as Merch Artists. These numbers may change depending on the number of apps we get.Who can apply to the zine?
Contributors must be 18 years of age by the time of production period, post-preorders. For now we estimate this to begin on September 19, 2023. If you are turning 18 by then, we will accept your application. Please make sure you have a working PayPal account if you wish to receive payment.

Yes. You may make applications for both roles. Depending on how apps go, successful applicants may double up as both Page Artist and Merch Artist. Artists may also apply to collaborate with a Writer and produce spot/half-page illustrations. Please be aware of the increased workload that comes with having both roles and make sure you are confident in meeting the deadlines when making your application.Will you be accepting pinch hitters?
Yes. If you are a pinch hitter you will be notified asap to fill in if a contributor drops out. Please note that as a pinch hitter you may have a shorter timeframe to complete your piece, though we will try to accommodate you to the best of our abilities.Details may be subject to change.
